Dr. Liz DiNapoli Lemire
Liz is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM), and a licensed Acupuncturist, Massage Therapist, and Chinese Herbalist. She is board certified in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, and Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Liz received both her Doctorate and Masters in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science (formerly Pacific College of Oriental Medicine), and her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Villanova University.
While at Pacific College, Liz undertook additional coursework in the Classical Acupuncture Program, which was developed under Daoist Master and 88th generation direct descent Dr. Jeffrey C. Yuen of the Jade Purity and Dragon Gate lineage. Outside of school, she has studied J.R. Worsley’s Five Element Constitutional Acupuncture with Dr. Anne Jeffres, L.Ac.
Liz has received training for acupuncture during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Her training included an internship with Claudia Citkovitz, L.Ac., a leading expert in Labor and Delivery Acupuncture, at NYU Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn providing acupuncture to laboring mothers on the Labor and Delivery Unit.
Liz loves working with kids and teens. She has taken post-graduate courses with pediatric acupuncture experts Stephen Cowan, MD, a holistic developmental pediatrician, acupuncturist, and author of Fire Child Water Child, and acupuncturist Robin Ray Green, L.Ac., author of Heal Your Child from the Inside Out: The 5-Element Way to Nurturing Healthy, Happy Kids.
Also a graduate of Pacific College’s Massage Therapy Program, Liz's style of bodywork blends both Eastern and Western philosophies and modalities including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Tui Na (Chinese), Shiatsu (Japanese), Myofascial Release, and Trigger Point Therapy.
Liz is a professional member of the Acupuncture Society of New York (ANSY) and the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
Before moving up to the Capital Region to open up Wellness Roots, Liz worked at Cornerstone Healing and Massage Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Prior to pursuing a career in holistic medicine, Liz worked for nonprofit organizations providing social justice, health care, and education to underserved populations in New York City, Boston, and New Jersey.
During their time off, Liz and her husband love traveling and supporting the live music scene.
