Dr. Liz DiNapoli Lemire

Dr. Liz is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM), and a licensed Acupuncturist, Massage Therapist, and Chinese Herbalist.  She is board certified in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, and Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).  

Dr. Liz received her Doctorate from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in San Diego, her Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from PCOM New York, and her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Villanova University.

While at PCOM New York, Dr. Liz undertook additional coursework in the Classical Acupuncture Program, which was developed under Daoist Master and 88th generation direct descent Dr. Jeffrey C. Yuen of the Jade Purity and Dragon Gate lineage.  Outside of PCOM, she has studied J.R. Worsley’s Five Element Constitutional Acupuncture under Dr. Anne Jeffres, L.Ac.

Also a graduate of PCOM's Massage Therapy Program, Dr. Liz's unique style of bodywork blends both Eastern and Western philosophies and a variety of modalities including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Shiatsu, and TuiNa. She has received training in Oncology Massage, and Massage for Hospice and Elder Care.  As a former, long-time sufferer of neck and back pain,  Liz has a special affinity for working with these areas of the body. 

Dr. Liz loves working with moms during all stages of their pregnancy. She has received extensive post-graduate training for Acupuncture during Pregnancy, Childbirth, and the Postpartum period.  Her training included an internship with Claudia Citkovitz, L.Ac., a leading expert in Labor and Delivery Acupuncture, at NYU Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn providing acupuncture to laboring mothers on the Labor and Delivery Unit.  Dr. Liz received advanced training prenatal and postnatal massage under Susanrachel Condon, LM, LMT, CCE, midwife and founder of Niara Healing Arts.  Liz's DONA International Birth Doula training was with Debra Pascali-Bonaro, B.Ed., LCCE, PDT/BDT(DONA), the Founder & President of Pain to Power Childbirth Experience.  

Dr. Liz also loves working with kids! She has taken post-graduate pediatric acupuncture training with Stephen Cowan, MD, pediatrician and author of Fire Child Water Child, and Robin Ray Green, L.Ac., author of Heal Your Child from the Inside Out: The 5-Element Way to Nurturing Healthy, Happy Kids, both renowned pediatric acupuncture experts.

Dr. Liz is a Reiki Master of the Japanese Usui Reiki Ryoho Lineage. She incorporates Reiki into many of her acupuncture and massage sessions in order to enhance her patients' relaxation and revitalization.

Dr. Liz is a professional member of the Acupuncture Society of New York (ANSY) and the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).

Before moving up to the Capital Region to open up Wellness Roots, Dr. Liz began her career in the healing arts working at Cornerstone Healing and Massage Williamsburg in Brooklyn.

Prior to pursuing a career in holistic medicine, Dr. Liz dedicated her life working as a nonprofit fundraising and development professional for organizations providing social justice, health care, and education to underserved populations in New York City, Boston and New Jersey.
